Membrane Cleaning Studies and Off-site Membrane Cleaning

AWC can perform cleaning studies to identify the best cleaning protocolfor a plant. One lead element from the first stage and one tail elementfrom the final stage are usually supplied. AWC engineers will then perform a separate cleaning study on each of the elements to determine the best cleaning pH, circulation and soak times, temperatures, and of course, the most appropriate cleaning chemicals for the foulants on the supplied membranes. This type of cleaning study helps the customer avoid ineffective cleanings, downtime and waste of expensive cleaning chemicals. It is especially useful for large municipal plants.

For industrial facilities that do not have clean-in-place (CIP) systems, AWC can perform multiple membrane element cleanings in our facility to ensure stringent cleaning procedures and to optimize results.
