AQUACARE-A-101Si R.O. Membrane Antiscalant – High CaSO4 / SiO2

Advantages AQUACARE-A-101Si is a premium broad spectrum antiscalant designed to inhibit inorganic scale formation and silica fouling in membrane separation processes. AQUACARE-A-101Si inhibits calcium sulfate scale at saturation levels of up to 600% and maintains good scale inhibition in the presence of moderate levels of silica. AQUACARE-A-101Si stops crystal growth of calcium sulfate scale. CaSO 4.2 H2O scale is almost impossible to remove once it has formed on an R.O. membrane. AQUACARE-A-101Si effectively controls silica up to 180% of its saturation limit in the reject. AQUACARE-A-101Si often surpasses the performance of other antiscalants under stressed conditions of high pH because of its better tolerance for hardness. AQUACARE-A-101Si has been approved by the National Sanitation Foundation (NSF) for the production of potable water in membrane separation processes. AQUACARE-A-101Si is environmentally compatible, especially where discharge of waste into the environment is a concern.

For more information, see the Material Safety Data Sheet provided with this product. Chemical Feeding and Control AQUACARE-A-101Si is normally fed continuously prior to the final cartridge filter. It should be injected by chemical dosing pump from a dilution tank or directly from the drum to the feed water line. The amount of AQUACARE-A-101Si required to inhibit scale formation depends on the quality of feed water and size of the membrane system. The specific dosage rates will be specified by your AWC technical representative. Packaging AQUACARE-A-101Si is packaged in 55 gallon, non-returnable plastic drums.
